Welcome to the MVMNT Member Onboarding Course. This course is designed to help you get the most out of your experience at Oxnard|MVMNT and CrossFit Ventura from day one. Inside these lessons, you’ll learn what makes our community unique, the philosophy behind our training, and the foundational principles that will help you train safely, progress consistently, and build confidence in the gym. Whether you’re brand new to fitness or returning after time away, these videos will guide you through your first steps, explain how our classes work, and show you how to track your progress and stay accountable. Take your time working through each section, and remember—our goal isn’t just to help you get through workouts, but to help you build habits, skills, and relationships that support your health for years to come. Understand The Foundations of CrossFit


The first few months of training can feel confusing if you don’t know what to expect. In this course, you’ll learn what typically happens during the first 12 weeks of CrossFit, how your body adapts neurologically before physical changes appear, and why consistency matters more than intensity early on.

Before jumping into workouts, you’ll learn the core movement principles that keep you safe, efficient, and progressing over time. Topics like rack height, breathing and bracing, line of action, and grip–stance–position will give you the tools to lift well, protect your spine, and build strong movement habits from the very beginning.

Move Safely And Effectively


You’ll also learn how to take advantage of the systems that help you stay accountable and measure progress. From using the gym app to reserve classes and log workouts, to understanding InBody scans, progress reports, and goal reviews, you’ll have a clear roadmap for tracking your improvements and staying engaged in your training journey.
