HERO FUND

Oxnard|MVMNT HERO FUND. 

This fund is something that we implemented just before COVID and has been a slow start but is starting to pick up speed. FAMILY is one of our core values, we believe in positive change in the world and it starts from within our community and spreads further and further out from us into the world.

HERO FUND USE #1

INTRA-MEMBER FUND

HERO FUND intra-member fund. We will have funds available with  an application that will cover 50% of cost of membership for up to 3 months no questions asked. These intra-member fun will be available on a rolling basis as long as the funds are available. We know that life happens and a member may have the need to cancel their membership due to hardship (family issues, work issues, social issues) and this causes financial hardship. This fund is set up to help our members who would benefit from the continued fitness, community, and uplifting atmosphere of Oxnard|MVMNT without the financial burden. 

HERO FUND USE #2

HERO FUND SCHOLARSHIP

We receive applications for 1 person EACH month that will be eligible for 6-8 Personal Training sessions AND 2 months of CrossFit membership. The goal of this initiative is to bring those who cost is an inhibiting factor into our community. Each month this is available to everyone in our community. Ask a Coach about how to start an application.

HERO FUND USE #3

Ventura County CAK

Community Acts of Kindness - on a quarterly basis Oxnard|MVMNT will decide where to partition some of its funds toward a local cause. It could be a family in need, a youth program, or a member who recently went through hardship. We get to decide as a leadership team where this money goes as long as it is back into our community. Fitness is so much bigger than ourselves and this allows us to show up for those in need.

FUNDING THE HERO FUND 

3 different avenues for funding:

1% of CrossFit memberships each month will be allocated to the fund.

Hero Fund merchandise sales go directly back into the fund. Sales are online or on site at Oxnard|MVMNT.

Member and community contributions. Anyone who wants to contribute to the fund, we will gladly add your donations. As of right now, donations are only accepted onsite

(Hero Fund is NOT a 501c3 legal non profit, and as such, donations are NOT tax deductable.)
