Why does anyone write in a journal? Because every so often we need a place to secretly sing our own praises.
I was recently given a mini journal from Coach Kolby after setting a goal to become more confident. The focus of this journal is to simply find a reason why I am awesome and write about it and then give myself an awesomeness grade for the day. On one of my awesome days I wrote about how I drove down the street with my coffee on my car then remembered as I was down the street and reached for a sip but no coffee, I pulled over and it was still there!!! On another day I walked by a dollar on the floor in front of my work and left it there for someone else to find!
I’m kind of awesome right (smirk)
This journal has become a routine to my morning as I write in it first thing when I arrive at work. It gets me started searching for the positive in the day first thing every morning. I write about three sentences a day, sometimes more if i’m feeling super awesome. I plan to continue with this routine and it is my goal to fill out this entire journal. It’s pretty cool to open up a past date and see what I found awesome then too.
I want you to remember, what is there really for me to lose not only by believing in myself but by taking that next little teeny tiny step to spread my plumage and express the full force of my fabulousness, including all the things I’m still improving, BECAUSE I’M SO AWESOME THAT I ACTUALLY WORK ON MYSELF.
You’re kind of awesome!
