Here are your Oxnard MVMNT friendly and professional staff!

Hi I’m Kolby, and I am super passionate about health and fitness and would love to share my love for the outdoors with you. I am a teacher at heart and my goal will always be to add value to your life. I grew up around sports my entire life, but it wasn’t until my college years that I discovered my passion to share fitness with others and learned a lot about how I can best do that.
The past 9 years I have been building my passions and finding useful and relevant information to pass on to others. I graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Sports Medicine and have studied under Michael Anderson of CrossFit Malibu. I now run Oxnard MVMNT as General Manager/Director of Operations. I have also fallen in love with the ocean and surfing after playing water polo for Pepperdine. In addition to being a coach, I am also an Ocean Lifeguard for The County of Los Angeles in Malibu. Spending most of my summers at the beaches keeping an eye out for beach patrons and learning more about the awesome power of the ocean.
If you want to see more play in your life, follow me on the road to better health!

Hello! I am Brenda or you can call me Beeks. If you were to tell me five years ago, I would be Head Coach of a CrossFit Gym, I would have hid between my slumped over shoulders and laughed. Oxnard|MVMNT has changed my life; first as an athlete, then coach. Now as Head Coach, I am here to help you change your life in the best possible way.
While my main goal is to just simply make a difference in someone’s life, whether it be a smile or a laugh, I realized that I wanted to narrow it down and make a difference through fitness. I want to make sure people are moving well for their entire life; making an entire lifestyle change because they WANT to not because they HAVE to. I want to be able to keep athletes moving well for as long as possible but MOST IMPORTANTLY I want people to LOVE the body they are in.
Since I have started CrossFit, I have gone through almost all scaling options because nothing ever came easy for me. I’ve gained 20+lbs of muscle but more than that, I’ve added 150+ more friends to my life which means 150+ more family members to my life!
MY BACKGROUND! I played soccer up until the age of fourteen. By high school, my best friend convinced me to try Water Polo. Did I mention I had to learn to swim? After four years of water polo, I went to a globo gym as I entered college, with my very own dad as a gym buddy. As far as college itself, I took some classes to enhance my knowledge in different sports and eventually received my B.S. in General Sociology from California State University, Northridge.
With the guidance of the MVMNT staff, I went from athlete, to cleaning bathrooms, to intern, to full time coach. Today, I am Head Coach of Oxnard MVMNT AND Chiropractor’s Assistant with Perform Better Chiropractic. With these two under my belt, I am able to fulfill my passion and goals every single day.
I cannot wait to meet you & make you laugh!

My name is Jeff and I’m one of coaches at Oxnard|MVMNT. I first started CrossFit back in 2011 with my wife (then fiancé) to get into shape before our wedding. After the first class I fell in love with the methodology and lifestyle that comes with being a functional fitness athlete.
In the beginning it was all about crushing the workouts and lifting heavy weights. Now that I’m older, married and a father of two, I am finding that there is much more to being fit than how fast I go or how heavy I can lift. My focus now is to be able to take all of the groceries from the car to the house in one trip, beat my kids in a race until they are 18, and be able to pick up my grandchildren and throw them in the air.
My full time job is in the healthcare industry and I spend a lot of my time in hospitals and medical clinics. Many people become unhealthy and develop chronic illnesses from a lack of exercise and not eating properly. Don’t let this be you! Come see me in an early morning class and we can talk about how I can help you achieve your short and long term fitness goals.

Glad you made it here, I’m Madi! Throughout my life I have grown an intense passion toward health and fitness which has had a huge impact on the direction my life was headed in. Enough of an impact to pursue a degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, & Recreation. What I love about my field of study is that I get to teach others greater awareness of their body which is so important because we only get one!
I joined Oxnard MVMNT as an athlete soon after I graduated college in 2016. I initially chose CrossFit because I was looking for something to void my post athlete depression (it’s a real thing). I played softball for 17 years from t-ball through college. Over those years I also played basketball, volleyball, soccer, and water polo. I was always passionate about softball but loved how skills from other sports improved my performance on the field. I played college ball at Colorado State University-Pueblo where I was recruited as a pitcher but also played first base and loved to hit. I received my L1 in May 2018 and then began the intern process here at CFOx. I have been a Coach since January 2019 and am so lucky to love what I do.
Favorite Food: Ice cream! The healthy kind, bad kind, yogurt version, popsicle, by the scoop; All of it!

My name is Nicola Lobach, or Nikki if we’re friends! I am one of the coaches at Oxnard|MVMNT, as well as the Nutrition Coach on staff. I’ve been an athlete my entire life, I played soccer growing up and was on the cheerleading and tumbling team in high school and college. I have always had a passion for helping people! I worked in Human Resources for a long time, until I realized that I wasn’t living my full potential behind a desk. I left my full time job in 2017 and have been coaching for almost 3 years now. I also have a goal of becoming a Firefighter, and am currently pursuing my degree in Fire Technology. I trained at Crossfit Invictus in San Diego before moving to Oxnard, and also did an internship at Crossfit Takeover in Virginia Beach under CFL-4 certified trainers. I’m extremely interested in nutrition, and enjoy constantly learning about how to fuel the body for optimal performance and quality of life! Aloha! I’m Liz, the other half to Kolby and am so excited to share living in wellness with all who we come in contact with. I’m Colorado raised but naturally hydrophilic (drawn to the water ;)) so the Californian coast instantly stole my heart as soon as I came out to attend school at Pepperdine. Studying Sports Medicine and Coaching combined with my love of being active and outdoors led me to want to help lead others through finding health, wellness, and fitness in their own lives. Since graduating I’ve spent some time surfing and serving in Hawaii as well as lifeguarding and working with families doing swim, surf, ocean safety lessons and personal training here in Malibu. My next goal is to get my yoga teacher training certification and share not only physical fitness but mental health with others. Together with Kolby, we’re stoked to have YOU join us on the Road to Better Health!
When I’m not at Oxnard MVMNT, I’m working as an Ocean Lifeguard at the Beaches of Los Angels County.

Hey there, I’m Lorena! I joined Oxnard|MVMNT in December of 2018 and fell in love with functional fitness and health. Two weeks into joining, I signed up for the Crossfit Open and was impressed by the community and camaraderie. Each member and athlete made me feel so welcomed! Not only was I improving my health and fitness, but I gained a second family.
At first, I started out by scaling all the workouts and even modified some movements and couldn’t do a pull-up or push-up. I wanted to be able to RX all the WOD’s and keep up with others. However, on April 5th during the early 5 am class, I ruptured my Achilles while running shuttle sprints. I remember thinking my fitness journey was over, but little did I know it was just beginning. I learned so much about myself, how I moved and modified so many movements. There’s only so much you can do on one leg. With the help of coaches and the community, I overcame this injury and became stronger in more than just the physical aspect. That’s when I knew I wanted to be more than just an athlete.
I’ve always had a passion for helping others! Being a coach gives me this opportunity. Along with coaching, I work in the mental health field as a Behavioral Therapist that works with children and teens with disabilities. I love what I do and cannot wait to help others with their health, fitness, and reaching their goals!
Favorite Food: Doughnuts!!!! Rolling pin specifically.
Favorite Word: Burpee!
Activity of Choice: CrossFit of course!
Something that brings me joy: Helping others achieve their goals and baking 🙂
Something you may not know about me: I’ve had asthma since I was 3 and use an inhaler.
